breaks my heart, everytime
There is nothing more devastating than seeing all of your hard work and effort being destroyed simply from other individuals not caring. So much time and energy goes into each of these pieces, from prep work of the moulds to the hand pours of two part moulds (which is so much more difficult to complete than single moulds) to the distressing of the actual piece and then there is the entire time it takes to hunt and search for the salvaged steel pieces at local steel plants and then to drill and tap for the rodding and then the grinding and polishing of the steel bases once they are cut down to size and then the adhesion of the pieces to their bases. And let’s not forget all the time and care that goes into the meticulous packaging of each individual piece. Only to have it arrive broken to bits. Fedex, you break my heart. And my clients aren’t ever too happy about it either. Sighs, another unsuccessful shipment out to a showroom in LA. Fail.
